Prairie Research Institute is proud to sponsor the 6th annual Earth, Wind, and Fire 5K Run and 2.5K Walk as part of the 2013 Naturally Illinois Expo on March 8th and 9th. Proceeds from the race will go to supporting the Naturally Illinois Expo.
The race will take place at the College of Education Building on the University of Illinois campus. The 5K Run is two laps around the main campus, and the 2.5K Walk is one lap on the same course. On-site registration and post-race refreshments will be provided in the Education Building South Lobby (see course map). The Sarah McFarland Carillon, located inside course, will perform during the race event.
Awards
2013 Fossil awards have been completed for Earth, Wind, and Fire race!
Awards cast from museum quality fossils will be given to the top 3 male and female runners in the following age groups: under 15, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Special Prizes will be awarded to the overall and master male and female runners, and to the overall male and female walkers.

Registration
Mail-in or online registration is $20 on of before February 16th. After February 16th and on race day, registration is $22. Students are eligible for a $3 discount. T-shirts are guaranteed only for runners and walkers registered by February 16th.
All registrations are non-refundable.

No dogs or baby strollers are allowed on
the race course.
