High-altitude cirque glacier (B30)

Location: Bylot Island, Nunavut, Canada
High-altitude cirque glacier (B30)

High-altitude cirque glacier (B30) that has retreated significantly from its neoglacial maximum. Note the well-developed, ice-cored lateral and end moraines and typical fresh, lichen-free appearance of the outwash and moraine sediments that formed at the neoglacial maximum in the twentieth century.
