Rippled surface of marine mud extrusion

This is a close-up photo of the surface of the mud extrusion shown in images 0095 and 0217. Its corrugated surface clearly indicates that the sediment was flowing as a viscous mass and was extruded during the thaw season from associated mudboils and has slowly dried and congealed. See detailed discussion for image 0240.
